Hello. My name is Lauren. I am a brand and marketing strategist, LEED AP in Neighborhood Development, and public space enthusiast from the San Francisco Bay Area.
In the fifth grade, my class participated in a sandcastle building competition in San Francisco. Classes from different schools throughout the Bay Area each teamed with a group of architects to design and build a large sculpture on the beach.
That day brought me to many wonderful and challenging experiences and projects. I graduated from fifth grade (phew!), went to architecture school, spent a year in Copenhagen, and discovered my beliefs about what the world should be like along the way: buildings should tell stories, all design should keep the future in mind, and public space matters.
I use my design education and experience to create rich and compelling stories that inspire a call to action.
I enjoy:
the study of relationships between physical environment, social behavior, and psychology.
recycle + reuse product design and well-crafted junkitecture.
the study of technology, culture, and intimacy.
health and wellness.
placemaking, public spaces, and public transit systems.
model-building and small-scale projects.
dessert.
