About

To whom it may concern,

My name is Laura Lariño Díaz and l graduated with a Bachelor + Master degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid with an specialization in Urban Planning, Urban Design and Environmental Strategies. Additionally, I took advantage of a grant to study at the Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo, Brazil.

My interest in growing professionally and seeking new creative experiences in the field of architecture and design lead me to contact you. I also consider myself a hardworking person, with an open, flexible, efficient and ambitious profile. I am creative and dynamic and I'm interested in developing projects from both a creative and practical point. I am comfortable working as part of a team but also have the ability to take an authoritative role when the situation arises.

My latest experience has been working for Martí-Sardà Architects in Barcelona since January 2015. Working in a team from the early sketch design stages right through to completion, including the simultaneous project management of a number of projects. Please refer to my CV for a more detailed view of the main projects I have been working on. In addition, I have developed proposals for rehabilitation and new construction on my own. The most significant one is a business facility for ABL Group that includes a 600 sqm office area, relax space and gymnasium. During this period, I have demonstrated my skills on design and construction management. I proved my knowledge in all the project stages, response capacity, management, integration of corporate image, visual communications, knowledge of furniture, materials and business skills.

During my academic years, l did an internship in CGA Architects and was involved in Zinc Shower, the first “Meeting Show of Creative and Culture Industries” in Madrid. I have also participated in various competitions, winning the first prize in the international competition for sustainable architecture "100 Mile House" organized by the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. My technical and computer skills are impeccable, including advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and other graphic design software.

Thanks to the education and experience I have acquired, I am able to develop a good work, with great motivation and illusion. I am willing to face new challenges in order to grow professionally and reach new goals.

Projects shown in my personal portfolio compile my academic evolution and formation during the last years. They relate my way of thinking and my resolution capacity.
