My greatest critique of Miesian architecture is the myopic approach to the De Stijl-like plan without an equal consideration of sectional complexity. This community center is a study in reconfiguring the Miesian language across four levels of a public building. Elongated perspectives, intersection, decisive thresholds, these elements are key to augment the spatial perception of that which is above, below and adjacent.
