Boutique Hotel

Farellones, a commune halfway between Santiago and Chile's Ski Centres, is the place for this Boutique Hotel; a place tailored for those who perform outdoor activities and enjoy a magnificent landscape.
The project focuses on the radical surroundings found in extreme landscapes like this one, so as
to incorporate those features into the spatial design as well as in the selection of the construction
materials.

As a starting point, the project takes over a cliff by letting part of the hotel 'fall down', so as to inhabit the edge and create the feeling of vertigo.

The interior design evokes the experience of being around a bonfire, cooking, eating, drinking and specially, sharing the activities done during the day; to accomplish this, the project includes the insertion of stone caves inside the hotel where you can start a fire while feeling protected from the wilderness.
