A catenary may be defined as the idealized curve that is formed from a cable finding its own center while being supported at each end. This project was to design a catenary that stood seven feet tall and was manufactured from 2x4s.

Working in a group of nine, this catenary was designed on the principle of uneven weights holding a cable.
