These sketches are a study I did of the snow castle’s construction methods.  The frozen lake is harvested for windows, lighting & steps & snow is blown by machine into formwork of various shapes to create the walls & rooms.  A team of 8 people work for 2 months using these methods to complete a snow castle that hosts a month long festival in March annually.
