Eisenman Architects, New York, NY, USA. This Holocaust Memorial located in Berlin, Germany, is composed of 2,711 free-standing pillars of stone, each measuring 95 x 237.5 centimeters with heights varying from zero to 400 cm. Although set in an ordered grid 95 cm apart, the variations in height together with the undulating ground on the 5-acre parcel produce unusual and unsettling visual effects.
