About

I am a recent graduate from Columbia University where I studied Architecture. While at school, I was a student-athlete on the archery team for four years, and captain for the final year. A majority of my professional and academic experiences have been in real estate development and architecture, and I am currently seeking a full-time entry level architecture position.

Employment

StadiMax, Newcastle, Australia, Intern

Click to edit position descriptionWhile interning at StadiMax, I researched many stadium designs and evaluated both the aesthetic and functional aspects of them to aid in the design process. I also worked with a team of interns from various backgrounds to design master plans for multiple sports precincts. I learned how to better communicate with those from different disciplines, as well as take into account their perspectives. For example, I began to think of design in terms of cost, implementation, and ability to market and sell.

JDS Development, New York, NY, US, Design Intern

At JDS Development, I was an intern on the design team and in charge of a number of tasks for multiple projects. I completed a full design drawing set for the sales office of 111 West 57th street, a 60 unit luxury residential skyscraper, and pitched it to Corcoran Group. I also designed multiple layout options for mock units of other residential projects, including 626 1st Avenue. I served as a liaison with architects, interior designers, and other clients in order to schedule meetings and share information. I helped plan and coordinate the Symposium, JDS's largest marketing event. I was also given a number of office projects, including designing and overseeing the fabrication of an office display, a gallery wall, and a materials library. I was able to learn a lot about not only the design process, but also design management. Working in development allowed me to apply what I've learned in the classroom to real world problems, and understand the complexities of client and customer relationships.
