Occupying a modest space within a larger all-concrete structure, the challenge to address the acoustic reverberation was top priority. A trellis-like ceiling treatment was executed to address the sound resonance, absorption, and transmission from one side to the other. The undulating feature is the result of a series of design iterations devised to visually divide table placement as well as giving the principle design feature a subtle yet playful kinetic motion. A CNC milling process was used to precisely cut every unique piece - no two geometries are identical.
