Jovana Krstic (b. 1990 in Belgrade, Serbia) is a Tel Aviv-bound, Belgrade-based architect currently working as a freelance architect and designer, passionate about 3D modeling and computational design in general.
She has experience working as an architect in Tel Aviv, Israel in Yoav Messer Architects office for a year and a half on projects ranging from interiors and high-end residential to hotels and hospitality.
Professionally, she is seeking work not strictly in architectural course but an interdisciplinary discourse and experiment through 3D software - Design - Digital Art.
She completed her Master Degree in 2014 at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, with a thesis focused on questioning the materialization of immaterial and interrelating memory and space (Master Project: “Staro Sajmiste” Holocaust Memorial Complex_New Cultural Center)
During and after her studies (2013-2015) at the Faculty she was the Teaching Associate of Associate Professor Ana Nikezić, PhD for the first year Studio courses (Bachelor studies) and for the first year Studio Master Project (Master studies).
At the Arhitekton magazine Portfolio 33/33 Competition 2013 Jovana was awarded the best portfolio of the year. She participated in several workshops and design festivals such as Zagreb DA Festival (Design & Architecture), Belgrade Mixer Festival and the Belgrade Resonate Festival.
In 2014 Jovana was part of the exhibition “1000 Stairs” in Herceg Novi, Montenegro and was recognized for creating one of the best proposals for the renovation of the Old City edge-quarter of Herceg Novi and the preservation of the Old City cultural heritage.
Her Master Project was exhibited in 2016 among finalists of Exhibition Competition: Micro and Macro Award - On Architecture: Scale of Design From Micro to Macro.
In addition to her work in the field of architecture, design and visual arts, she has experience as an English translator of essays and articles on architecture and related disciplines published by the Faculty of Architecture- University of Belgrade.
