The Phoenix Actor's Theatre presents a dialogue between two entities of facing audience members; while a third, the actors, moderate this “spatial debate” through their trade which, generates a consensus between the actor, patron and theater.
A bottom-up design process was implemented, where discovering the essence of this theater was done through the design of the stage. Understanding the user’s core experience creates situations and spaces that flow out of the theater’s focal point by emerging as a series of systems built upon a parent set.
