Bergmeyer is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm dedicated to providing excellent design and superior service for our retail, restaurant, housing, workplace, and academic clients, produced in a rewarding environment in our office on the Boston waterfront by our 50+person staff.

We are looking for resourceful and detail oriented Job Captains/Designers to work on retail projects.


  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture
  • On the path to Licensure or NCIDQ Certification. LEED AP status a plus.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office a must
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with fast paced, technical projects.
  • Accepting applications at all levels with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Advanced construction documentation skills


Primary Responsibilities and Essential Skills:

  • Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as a member of a project team
  • Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and full code and accessibility reviews.  Solid experience with existing conditions is necessary.
  • Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Perform construction phase services
  • Coordinate LEED documentation with our in-house Sustainability Manager
