Gensler’s San Jose office is searching for a senior architectural designers (10+ years) with exceptional design skills, a portfolio of innovative design concepts, and an emphasis on built work.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on commercial interiors projects, including programming client needs, concept design, schematic design, design development, and manage budget/schedule reviews
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
  • Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications
  • Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Manage client expectations, and coordinate team and consultant communications

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Architecture or Design preferred, with a rigorous design education
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale
  • International design experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituent
