We are seeking a highly creative, well organized, proactive, and energetic candidate to join our team as a Designer. Experience with commercial interior design required. Familiarity or experience with exterior ADA upgrades and site work are encouraged, but not required.

The ideal Designer candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial office interior design background to include 4-7 years work experience in an architectural firm
  • Perform site surveys and accurately document field conditions to complete pricing plans and construction drawings
  • Assist with preparation of space plans, pricing plans, contract documents and specifications
  • Proficient in computer aided drawing (AutoCAD), presentation tools (Sketch-up, Photoshop, Power Point), and basic office software programs (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to prepare complete CD's in a timely manner to successfully meet project due dates
  • Responsible for all coordination of MEP and structural engineering drawings required for CD's (without assistance)
  • Research and coordinate, document and submit all plan check corrections with applicable city agencies and engineers; a working knowledge of navigating through city agencies
  • Research and coordinate requirements of vendors such as A/V, cabling and security and correctly document required infrastructure in CD’s
  • Address construction issues in the field and provide appropriate direction to G.C. and Subcontractors
  • Familiar with current CBC, and local city building codes, amendments, and standards
  • Proficient in detailing complex and unique project conditions
  • Assist the PM and Director with management/strategies for building/maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Recognize when and know how to communicate "Additional Services" (Required)
  • Perform routine checking and or verification tasks
  • Experience with interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards
  • Has experience with the submittal process, and can review basic finish submittals and millwork drawings
  • Work well independently, and as a collaborative team member
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong desire for professional growth within the organization
