The Project Architect will be responsible for project implementation from conceptual design through construction administration, including coordination with clients.  The Chicago Studio covers multiple practice areas including multi-unit residential, senior living, hospitality and corporate interiors.


Job Responsibilities:          

  • Leads and manages a project team in development of the technical design and the preparation of architectural design and construction documents including drawings and specifications.
  • May work independently with Principals or collaborates with a Project Designer for the design of the project.
  • Develops, checks and coordinates technical aspects of the design of a project.
  • Participates in production of the documents.
  • Prepares the project code review.
  • Coordinates the work of Consultants.
  • Meets with client
  • Supervises assigned staff.
  • Mentors junior staff.
  • Follows established standards for project production and review.
  • Coordinates with a Project Manager or Principal in Charge for a smooth execution of the project.

Key Skills:  

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture is required
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated capacity for design sensitivity
  • Strong proficiency in Revit/BIM
  • Strong technical and graphic communication skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership, organization and good communication skills
  • 3D modeling and presentation skills a plus!
  • Construction Administration phase experience (preferred)
  • License preferred
