Our design unit, Bowery Design Group, currently has an opening for an Interior Designer to join our growing team in a fast paced, dynamic environment. We're looking for a self motivated, organized, team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude who will work closely with our senior interior designer as a supporting staff member in performing professional services and producing deliverables for our clients.

The ideal candidate will be team oriented and an excellent communicator, self-motivated, and comfortable in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

He/she will be able to perform routine aspects of architectural interior design assignments, under minimum supervision, subsequently providing interior design plans for high-end residential homes, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets and other data.

Job responsibilities would include developing designs, drafting, elevation renderings, mood boards, CAD drawings, materials, hardware and furniture sourcing as well as to maintain project documentation.


  • Direct and responsible experience in a broad range of high-end residential building and construction types.
  • Knowledge of constructability and cost containment, with emphasis on design-build delivery and fast track permitting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the interior design industry/profession.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly with a willingness to learn and accept new challenges.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking ability and good judgment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks against deadlines and other metrics.
  • Self-starter, motivated, takes initiative, has strong work ethic.
  • Successful candidate must demonstrate excellent AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Photo Shop and Illustrator Design skills. Revit knowledge is a plus.


  • General knowledge of programming, functional analysis and space planning principles
  • Applies interior design principles in development and preparation of presentation drawings.
  • Interprets plans and specifications and knowledge of interior code requirements, construction administration procedures, and Electrical/HVAC systems.
  • Ability to initiate technical research.
  • Consults with manufacturers/evaluates and sources materials.
  • Coordinates Construction Administration and performs tasks such as submission review, file organization, and field construction installation review.
  • Capabilities include all phases of residential interior design projects and/or specialized phase of large, complex interior design projects.
  • Prepares and designs interior plans/layouts, performs design computations, and develops estimates.

JOB Requirements:

Education: B.S. Degree in Interior Design or Equivalent
