We are searching for an experienced architect who shares this calling. Someone who is passionate about design and who shares our vision for what schools can and should be. Qualified candidates should be Registered Architects with experience in K-12 school design. Specific responsibilities of the Staff Architect may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work to creatively achieve client's goals, within the constraints of the budget.
  • Research project-related topics such as building materials and systems; and codes and regulations, and sustainable design.
  • Define and follow Architectural and Engineering (A&E) design schedule and milestone drawing dates.
  • Travel to Project Job Site or Design Office as required to facilitate design and construction under the direction of the Project Architect.
  • Participate in marketing endeavors in partnership with firm leadership.
  • Coordinate documents with team consultants.
  • Communicate methods to improve the "project progress" to the team leadership.
  • Develop presentation drawings
  • Produce construction documents consistent with office standards.
  • Mentor (and inspire!) less experienced Architectural Interns and offer advice, training, and direction.
  • Other duties as logically inherent to this role.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Minimum of 7 years professional architectural experience.
  • Portfolio to include K-12 project types preferred with demonstrated experience in innovation and collaboration.
  • Graduate of accredited architectural program with Bachelor's level degree.
  • Strong design skills. (please submit your design portfolio with your resume)
  • Demonstrated understanding of building systems.
  • Strong Construction Documentation (CD) skills.
  • Proficient in Revit; Photoshop and InDesign preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be pro-active, collaborative and possess a passion for education design.
