BKSK Architects LLP seeks assistance with its PR and communications initiatives by expanding its marketing/business development team. Founded in 1985, BKSK is a New York City-based firm specializing in design that is socially, contextually and ecologically engaged. The firm's diverse range of work includes award-winning cultural, civic, educational and residential projects.
While a background in architecture in not a prerequisite for this position, an appreciation for thoughtful design and a keen interest in the built environment are a must.
Responsibilities are to include:
Develop a marketing and business development strategy focusing on cultural, education and institutional sectors
Contribute to brand marketing and message
Create press materials and secure media coverage (broadcast, print, internet)
Develop and maintain contacts in both print and digital media, pitch stories, raise the firm's profile
Build content, develop strategy for, and maintain social media pages on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Word Press
Assist with maintenance of client and consultant contact databases
Assist with production and coordination of proposals and new business packages
Promote a firm-wide awareness of industry topics, issues and news in order to effectively deliver strong and creative communication strategies that are relevant to our needs and business objectives
3-5 years experience with PR and marketing with emphasis on digital communications
Experience in branding/strategic planning/research
Strong research, relationship building, and management skills
Outstanding communication and writing skills
Strong graphic design skills/sensibility including knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Apple Keynote, HTML
Knowledge of architectural history and/or the architectural profession a plus
Self-starter who manages deadlines
Ability to work closely and collaboratively with our existing marketing team
