You will work on teams, and independently, on projects ranging from high-end luxury residential, commercial and public. Candidate should be comfortable working in REVIT and LEED certified is a plus. Experienced in delivering projects with simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication both verbally and written are essential to your success.
Ensure preparation of contract documents including all drawings, specifications, and reports and issue to CM/Client in a timely manner.
Review contract including allowances. Assist Construction Manager and Project Manager during Bid and Buy out process.
Maintain continual client communication during construction document preparation and through construction.
Acts as a liaison between the client and the company. Also guide the owner’s representatives, his outside consultants and their resources as necessary.
Assist with construction document preparation.
Maintain the information flow to the project coordinator or client representative.
Assure that construction documents accurately reflect the contract scope and design intent at all times.
Review construction documents periodically to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate all technical information from vendors and owners.
Coordinate building code and zoning reviews with appropriate agencies/consultants.
Conduct reviews with the client; represent the architect of record.
Coordinate with the project manager in determining construction and early bid document requirements.
Take responsibility of construction coordination with design intent.
Participate in project team meetings and issue minutes of meetings after review with Project Manager.
Attend construction meetings with the project manager and the client.
Provide on-site inspections during construction to ensure that design intent, quality, and client’s expectations are met.
Monitor proposed changes and coordinate with the project director, project manager, and the client. Track the extra hours and apprise the Project Manager of any additional services involved, prior to proceeding with work.
Assure completion and distribution of owner’s manual and record drawings.
Review project team hours and timesheets for accuracy.
Coordinate quality control compliance, review and corrections.
Check architectural specifications for coordination with construction documents.
Monitor & Contribute to Team Success
Assist Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager in project analysis, programming, site-analysis, scheduling and establishing project objectives.
Coordinate activities of all professional disciplines assigned to the project.
Assist PM/Associate in the identification of the client’s expectations for quality, price and schedule.
Participate in the conceptual, schematic and design development phases and work closely with the designers in providing a professional point of contact with the client during the design process.
Provide Project Manager with input in establishing and monitoring project budget and schedule.
Assist in creation of packages for conceptual and initial reviews. Also coordinate work of project designer and interior designer.
Assist project manager in punch-out and establishing substantial completion.

Acquire and Apply Technical Expertise
Assist in the formulation and implementation of ILA's Total Quality Management Program.
Review all documentation for accuracy, legality and liability, and prepare backup for any or all paperwork signed and sealed by the PICs.
Demonstrates continuous learning without undue impact to project schedule and regular office schedule.
Uses technical resources and tools to expand one’s sphere of resources, skill set and enhance work product.
Development of Self
Professional undergraduate degree in Architecture. Master’s degree preferred.
NCARB IDP Completed or should be taking ARE.
Competent knowledge of AIA Document A-201, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction.
Competent knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD. Knowledge AutoCAD 3D, SketchUp or Revit preferred.
