Design Development NYC is a premier NYC white glove residential contractor as well as a design build shop. We are located in NYC and operate in NYC and the surrounds geographic range of approximately 100 miles from our office on 42nd Street. Collectively our principals have over 30 years’ experience in construction of luxury homes in NYC and surrounding areas and seek to maintain and grow our AAA client list by constantly exceeding our client expectation on a daily basis.
The Project Manager is a significant part of our team leadership structure (Principal, Project Manager, Site Supervisors, Trade). Working with the team leaders, staff and accounting department, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful business management of each project from proposal to completion. The Project Manager is the client's primary contact within DDNYC and is responsible for negotiating and maintaining the balance between design goals, project schedules and project financial performance.
Candidates must have a demonstrable track record of success that includes experience as a professional project manager, excellent written and verbal skills, appropriate computer proficiency and developed strategic planning and organizational skills. Generate and maintain the project’s Work Plan. Monitor progress of deliverables in each phase, including pre-construction and project closeout activities. Monitor project financial performance and take appropriate steps to maintain satisfactory performance on project
Take lead in preparing and negotiating all project agreements based on existing DDNYC standard documents; make certain all parties understand the contents and limitations of agreement, subsequent Change Orders, etc.
Negotiate project schedule/deadlines with client and take primary responsibility within DDNYC for meeting agreed schedules
Manage site teams and take a lead role in scheduling and allocating resources with the support of the Dispatcher. Anticipate and be proactive about the needs of each site.
Maintain continuous dialogue between Principal, PM, Site Supers and Clients including scheduling and leading team meetings and maintaining project minutes, records and files
