The IIT College of Architecture seeks applications for full time, tenured or tenure track, appointments in the following areas to begin August 2014:
—Design Studio with expertise in building technology, design communications, or com-putation and fabrication. M.Arch. and/or advanced degree in area of specialization ac-companied by professional experience required; professional registration and/or Ph.D preferred.
—Architectural History and Theory. A research concentration in the period from the In-dustrial Revolution to World War II; expertise in the history of urbanism especially wel-come; Ph.D. by August 2014 required. —Landscape Architecture. Expertise in the core techniques and history of landscape ar-chitecture along with demonstrated professional ability and/or research in other areas such as urban design, infrastructure, ecology, and planning; professional degree in land-scape architecture or related field (MLA, MLAUD, BLA, MAUD/MUD, MUP) or ad-vanced research degree research (PhD, DDes) required. Professional licensure desirable.
Candidates will also be required to contribute to the service and administration of the College and the University. The rank of appointment will be determined by the successful candidate’s level of experience. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and ex-perience. Under the new leadership of Dean Wiel Arets, IIT Architecture is committed to enhanc-ing its educational mission by focusing on the urban realities of the twenty-first century.
