Louisiana State University
The Coastal Sustainability Studio is a rapidly growing program where scientists, engineers, and designers come together to intensively study and respond to issues of settlement, coastal restoration, flood protection, and the economy in Coastal Louisiana. CSS was conceived as a design laboratory to develop strategies that reduce risk to social, economic, and natural resources. The results provide a sound basis for major policy decisions for adaptation through more sustainable land-use planning, protection, and education. Primarily made up of faculty, research fellows, and graduate students, the studio is an energetic and growing presence on LSU's Baton Rouge campus.

Under general direction from the CSS Director and CSS Executive Committee, the employee will be responsible for further developing the CSS's visualization program. This work will cross a full range of research, education, and outreach project activities that together frame the planning for innovative coastal management, settlement, protection, and restoration strategies for the Gulf Coast. Candidate will be responsible for building a visual interface between complex scientific data, community based design scenarios, and public.
