Büro Ole Scheeren is looking for a COMMUNICATIONS AND PR MANAGER (full-time) to join its office in Beijing, China.
Büro Ole Scheeren is an international design studio based in Beijing and Hong Kong that practices architecture, urbanism, and research. The firm pursues a rigorous search for new potentials in architecture to discover and implement specific, thoughtful, and unexpected solutions. We have a staff of 50+ architects and designers from over 20 countries representing Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and we seek talented individuals who share an enthusiasm and commitment to critical thinking and outstanding design.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
You will develop and implement Buro-OS’s communications strategy in collaboration with relevant staff and the PR-team. You will be responsible for worldwide external communications and press liaison as well as extend and maintain the contact network of journalists, and other PR-relevant contacts.
You will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for handling media enquiries and for coordinating interviews with and lectures by the principal. You will ensure that Buro-OS is plugged into the world’s media by utilising all the available PR platforms, such as straightforward PR, publications, social media channels, etc.
You will write and proofread press releases and PR texts and will be in charge for the maintenance and improvement of www.buro-os.com. You will proactively assist the Operations Director on general communications and report to the Operations Director.
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Exceptional writing and clear communication skills
Profound knowledge of and familiarity with contemporary architecture
Specialised skills in new media
