This is a highly interactive Design/Build work environment, in which designers respond both to the requests of clients and the needs of the field. The Project Architect will be responsible for designing, planning and directing each phase of assigned projects through completion; directing creative personnel, resources, processes.
The Project Architect will be responsible for liaising between clients and the project team while representing Artthaus and will act as the facilitator for the project process from inception through to completion on high-end residential homes. The Project Architect is accountable for the design quality of each project, including the documentation and rationalization of design solutions to decision makers.

Modern design aesthetic and creative talent with a sense of refinement
Proven experience with Interior Design and Construction Detailing; materials and fixture specifications, mood board presentations, framing, exterior detailing, interior finish details (cabinets, casework, stairs, etc.)
Proficiency in AutoCAD4, 3D modeling skills, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Rhino or other similar programs
Experience with project management, oversight and team leading on custom high-end residential architecture – taking projects through from inception to completion
Ability to manage coordination of large, complex projects against rigid timelines
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to take direction from clients
Demonstrated experience with construction administration and coordination and a thorough understanding of residential construction processes is a must
Experience with complex client presentations and service
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently
Ability to efficiently interface with project team, contractors and clients to ensure a smooth work flow
Must be a team player who is willing to accept a full range of responsibilities and roles
Shows initiative, pro-activity, organization and ownership of projects
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated business development savvy and personality
Comfortable assuming responsibility to bring in each project within project budget and construction constraints
Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards projects and successfully operate in a changing environment
CA driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle for work purposes. Mileage reimbursement will be provided according to the current IRS rates.
Should be aware of a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures
Previous hands-on construction experience is a plus!
