Construction Project Coordinator
Fourth Wall Restaurants is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to oversee and coordinate with General Contractors during the construction of new restaurants and other projects.
Fourth Wall Restaurants was founded by acclaimed father-son restaurateurs Alan and Michael Stillman. The group is comprised of upscale restaurants in New York City, including the flagship Smith & Wollensky location, Maloney & Porcelli, Park Avenue, The Post House, Quality Meats, The Hurricane Club, and our newest location opening in 2013, Quality Italian
Position Summary: The main responsibility of the Construction Project Coordinator is to represent Fourth Wall Restaurants by directly overseeing and coordinating with General Contractors hired for a specific project for the duration of the construction period. The Coordinator will ensure that construction is completed according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines without sacrificing quality.
Responsibilities/Duties:

Directs team members (employees and outside contractors) at all levels of contract administration.

This position will coordinate the design and contract activities while working with architects, contractors, and management staff.

Communicate timelines and budgetary restraints

Manage each phase of contract and any issues that arise.

Oversees contractor work scopes, schedules, and budgets

Assist with the job bidding process and management of proposals

Review safety procedures being followed on site

Be on site as necessary to direct project

Draft reports of any site visits and ongoing processes to be provided to company executives.

Prepares and/or reviews project plans using CAD software.
Essential Position Requirements:

Available to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays throughout duration of project.

Walks and stands during entire shift
-
Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, climb, standing.

Be able to lift 50 lbs.
-
Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, tripping, falling.
Specific knowledge, skills and attributes:
-
Computer proficient; knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and general computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Strong Management skills. Must be able to work independently.

Excellent written and verbal skills

At least 5 years of Construction Management experience

Must have a full understanding of cost control, scheduling, critical time frames, and contracts.

Knowledge of Uniform Building Code, ADA requirements, all OSHA safety requirements

In depth knowledge of construction skills, building materials, and construction methods
