Allied Works Architecture is a 40-person practice with offices in New York City and Portland, Oregon. Current projects include international cultural, academic, corporate, and residential work. Allied Works Architecture is seeking an articulate and strategically minded Project Lead for our Portland or New York office. The right candidate has a commitment to design excellence, and a proven history of success in the craft of building. The Project Lead will function as a member of the leadership team and be responsible for monitoring all aspects of projects to ensure the highest quality of work while ensuring the client's and company's expectations for function, aesthetics, schedule and budget.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

8-10 years minimum total experience in the field with at least 5 years experience as a lead project manager / architect
Experience with ground up design and construction, including client management on institutional and cultural building types
Superior leadership and organizational skills and the ability to manage staff
Capable of detailing and construction documents with minimal supervision
Experience with consultant coordination
Ability to work within given deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a gracious disposition
