JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a Specifications Administrator to join our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will be an excellent word processor with an interest in assisting with and coordinating specification documents for our teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with other departments and external consultants to coordinate documents for compilation in project manuals.
  • Perform accurate word processing edits to specifications from redlined documents.
  • Work with in-house translators to ensure appropriate and correct translation of text.
  • Coordinate project manual consolidation process.
  • Maintain a library of codes and standards and ensure all are current and available to team members.
  • Assist in researching building products and ordering samples.

Background and Skillset:

  • 3+ years experience working in an intense word processing environment.
  • Exceptional (expert level) MS Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat skills.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn e-SPECS specification software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a deadline driven work culture and handle multiple fluctuating deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and interest in learning about building technology.
  • Prior experience with an Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm highly desirable.
