Intern: Building Performance Analysis Education

Do you want to help improve sustainable design literacy in building engineering and architecture professions? Do you want to help professionals working at AEC firms incorporate new Autodesk Building Performance Analysis tools into their workflows?

As the Building Performance Professional Education Intern you will work to create and pilot a new education program for Continuing Education Units (CEU) that is targeted at professionals.

The ideal candidate is a building engineer or architect in graduate school who has industry experience.

The Autodesk Sustainable Design Program oversees the creation of educational content that explains the principles and the practice of sustainable design to engineers and designers. Building on our existing content and programs for building performance analysis education, we plan to launch some continuing education courses that are targeted to architects and engineers in professional practice. This summer intern would help scope, design, and deliver these new courses.

You will work closely with the Autodesk Sustainability team, Education team, and Building Performance Analysis product team.

Candidates must be full-time students with at least one term to complete after the internship.

Requirements

  • Students must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited program to be eligible for internship participation
  • Building science, engineering, or architecture major preferred.
  • Industry experience (2-5 years)
  • Experience with BIM. Autodesk Revit and Vasari preferred.
  • Experience with energy modeling and building performance analysis.
  • Creativity and ability to generate and execute upon new ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching or instructional design experience
  • LEED accredited, professional engineer, member of AIA, and/or other accreditations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, writing, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities in project management and setting priorities
  • Ability to work in team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships throughout the Company
