Schrimmer Design Group (SDG) is a small interior architecture design firm specializing in the commercial office environment. We are a young dynamic group looking for a key individual to grow within our organization. In this position as our Job Captain, working with  our Principals and SDG's team, you will be responbile for the developng and assembling of a complete set of contract documents, working alone or with a Team, as each specific Project may dictate or require. 

While working either independently or on a Team basis, develop, manage, and draft drawing packages (for all phases of projects including SD, DD, and CD).

• Provide practical and effective problem-solving input to help resolve design/detailing issues and challenges.
• Produce, oversee, and maintain the project documentation production schedule according to the overall project deliverables schedule.

Must be able to review, comment on and revise all shop drawings.

Produce, maintain and coordinate all required Conrtact Administration materials such as Responses to RFI's, RFI & shop drawing submital log, change order, log, etc.

• Delegate and manage tasks to supporting CAD drafters/designers
• Work in a team environment including SDG's Team and staff, contractors, sub-contractors, client contacts and their contractors/consultants

Qualifications
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in interior architecture, interior design, or related fields.

• Proven experience as a Job Captain or equivalent position is a must.
• Strong AutoCAD technical proficiency required
• 3D modeling/rendering skills a plus (Rhino, 3ds Max)
• Experience in detailing a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must share our commitment to quality and excellence in design and service
• Well-organized and efficient at managing time and tasks
• B.A. in Architecture, or Interior Design
