Diller Scofidio + Renfro is seeking a Business Development & Research Manager to join the BizDev Team. The BizDev team is responsible for strategic acquisition of new work and risk management. The team also fosters client relationships from initial contact through contract and fee negotiations.
The BizDev & Research Manager is responsible for the following:
identify, analyze, and acquire new projects
assist with new initiatives aimed at profitability and growth, including expansion into new markets
manage & prepare RFQs/RFPs, which include team assembly, fee proposals, and project-specific writing
support Project Leaders with a range of tasks, including project set-up, press releases, and awards submissions
manage a range of writing and research activities
manage & maintain DS+R databases and archives of studio collateral
manage personnel
contribute to PR/Marketing efforts, including coordinating publications and public appearances
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Business Development in the Architecture/Design industry
experience in branding/strategic planning/research is preferred
a degree in Architecture is preferred
experience with international markets is preferred
a critical understanding of DS+R’s work and perspective
working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
