Callison is currently seeking Architectural Staff II for our Global Retail practice group.

Summary of Responsibilities: This is an entry or intern level design staff member, typically with one to five years experience who prepares routine sketches, preliminary and final working drawings, and construction documents for projects under the direction of intermediate or senior level staff. This position may also assist in the development of design concepts.

  • Works from designs/drawings of others to prepare architectural plans and renderings.
  • Works with intermediate and senior level staff to review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality.
  • Uses Callison's established techniques, procedures and equipment to prepare and/or correct construction documents.
  • Participates in conceptual design development activities, including making adaptations and modifications and assisting other designers in specific aspects of overall design.
  • Conducts research or consults with specialists for assistance in document preparation.
  • Inspects architectural features of structures in the field against construction documents.
  • Provides quality support and initiative to further overall business goals and objectives. Actively pursues continuous improvement and ease of doing business to meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Commits to learning about the field of architecture and design and incorporating the knowledge into day-to-day business practices.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum one year architectural related experience (Construction Management experience a big plus).
  • Must have solid conceptual and design process skills and good problem solving ability.
  • CADD proficiency required. Experience using MicroStation and/or 3-D modeling programs desirable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
