Guernsey Architectural Solutions, Inc. specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of Aluminum Composite wall systems and is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our design and drafting department.
Candidates should be recent graduates from an architecture program or related design discipline and have a high level of proficiency with AutoCAD and the ability to visualize the three-dimensionality of buildings. Candidates will be well organized, have good written and verbal communication skills and perform well in aggressive schedule environments.
General responsibilities will include developing and completing sets of shop drawings, administering and documenting the submittal process and performing quantity take-offs used to aid the fabrication department. Once a firm knowledge of our system has been gained, our hire will be responsible for designing actual panel geometry to program our cnc machines. Although not a requirement, preference will be given to candidates with point cloud and 3d scanning software experience and a working knowledge of cnc programming. The position is in Deland, Florida and will require commuting or relocating if the candidate does not currently live in the Deland area.
Gain practical experience in envelope design and construction, while accruing IDP credit under Work Setting ‘E’.
