Business Development Intern
Klingmann Architects & Brand Consultants (KABC) is seeking a business development intern to lead our client expansion efforts both locally and nationally.  The main role of this position will be to research and qualify business opportunities that fit the profile of the firm. The position requires a candidate who is self-directed and highly experienced in seeking out new project opportunities in different parts of the US.

The primary task of the BizDev intern is research and analysis of opportunities, and the contacting of potential clients. In addition to research, the BizDev intern will assist with various tasks, including:

• writing
• maintaining public relations and business development databases
• managing the press archive and new press materials
• identifying new business opportunities
• assisting with preparation of RFQs/RFPs

Qualifications:

• a bachelors degree in architecture and/or related field ideally with some specialization in a business-related discipline
• working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• excellent writing and speaking skills (must be smart, persuasive, funny and fearless on the phone and write witty emails)
• enjoy socializing

Candidates should be students or newly-minted undergraduates interested in broadening their understanding of architecture as a business. Students typically should pursue advanced degree programs in architecture, business, real estate or professional positions in marketing, strategic planning, and business development.
