The San Francisco office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is looking for a dynamic individual to manage the marketing efforts befitting of a world class, premier design firm. Candidates must have hands-on strategic marketing and management experience and have proven ability to simultaneously oversee multiple new business pursuits and public relations efforts. A highly motivated, innovative and inspired candidate will have the opportunity to work with exceptionally talented teams on projects that directly impact the perception of the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategize, produce and coordinate proposals, interview materials and collateral communications tools.

Create and manage marketing deliverables related to various business practices.

With SOM market leaders, write and implement long and short-term marketing strategies.

Create yearly marketing budget and report spending monthly.
-
Conduct research to assist in qualifying leads and evaluating potential clients.
-
Communicate with other SOM offices on firmwide marketing initiatives
-
Generate and present weekly marketing activity report

Manage the marketing department workflow
QUALIFICATIONS
-
A minimum of 7 years of marketing management experience at an architectural, engineering, design or similar environment.

Unquestionable ability to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines.

Strong examples of delivering the highest quality collateral pieces. Must show relevant writing and graphics examples

Experience creating and managing highly organized systems for a marketing department.

Foresight to delegate specific tasks and projects to appropriate team members.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

Flexibility in working with different personalities and adapting work styles to support the needs of those personalities.

Highly motivated, organized, exceptional attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, decisive and self-directed.

A bachelor’s degree.

High proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
