Kohn Architecture is looking for a dedicated all around architect/draftsperson with 5+ years of experience.
We are a busy small firm with a wide variety of projects. Website – www.glkarchitects.com. You must have experience working in New York City, and a familiarity with the NYC building code and zoning resolution. We are looking for an energetic, well organized person willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Good communication skills are a must.
Our projects are mix of commercial, retail, restaurants, building conversions and multiple dwelling apartment renovations. We are looking for someone who has design experience, and also a working knowledge of the codes and zoning. We encourage applicants who are entrepreneurial and who are also interested in bringing new work to the firm.
The job’s main responsibilities include: Design, AutoCAD drafting of construction and DOB filing sets, coordination of projects, communication with clients, contractors, and consultants. We have also begun filing some DOB documents online, so experience with the DOB filing process is a major plus.
Our office is located on Union Square in New York City. A great area to work.
Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch up, Photoshop, 3-D modeling, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
