Our Coral Gables office is looking for a seeking an Intermediate Architect that is committed to design excellence, who thrive in an environment of collaboration and who demonstrate a high degree of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Work independently to provide the full range of architectural services on small to medium-sized projects or to oversee certain aspects of larger projects as part of a team
  • Refine and further develop design concepts given by others
  • Create and develop planning and design concepts for more complex projects
  • Oversee design work of others to ensure and integrated and cohesive design
  • Present design solutions to client representatives and/or design review committees
  • Supervise the development of renderings for client presentations
  • Coordinate drawings with drawings of other disciplines
  • Find technical solutions to deliver the design through documentation and detailing while preserving the design intent
  • Relate building design concepts to building codes, zoning ordinances and other external issues
  • Prepare, develop, edit and coordinate specifications with drawings to meet project requirements
  • Evaluate, select and/or approve materials and products
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of the work performed by junior staff.
  • Follow and enforce quality control procedures
  • Lead day-to-day Construction Administration activities, including coordination with the Contractor, Owner and Consultants to maintain project progress
  • Receive instruction on specific assignment objectives and independently provide solutions for these objectives
  • Support more senior staff on large projects


  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years' work experience in the profession
  • A license to practice architecture (preferred) or is currently eligible to take the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE)
  • LEED accreditation (helpful)
  • High proficiency and extensive experience using current design software (Revit, CAD & Sketch Up) as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using some or all Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design)
  • Ability to communicate ideas well both graphically and verbally
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to grasp complex functional program requirements
  • Proven abilities in the production of meticulous architectural documents through all stages of a project’s lifespan — from schematic design through to construction administration with focus on CD/CA
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment with a collaborative and professional work ethic.
  • Positive attitude coupled with strong work ethic
  • 2 letters of reference from employer and/or colleague
  • Must live within a commutable distance to downtown Coral Gables (33134)

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a strong technical understanding of how to assemble landmark projects
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary project development process and team-focused environment
  • Have the ability to work in a collaborative environment, producing exemplary work on a daily basis.

A two-hour Revit Assessment will be given to those chosen for an interview.
