Frederick Fisher and Partners is looking for qualified candidates to join our firm as a Design Architect.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting and coordinating with the design team throughout the design process
  • Assist in managing a drawing set and design team work flow
  • Taking a project from start to finish, including jurisdictional reviews and plan checks
  • Producing working drawings compliant with building codes
  • Assist in construction related issues and solving field problems

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years architectural experience.
  • A Bachelor or Masters of Architecture from an accredited institution
  • LEED and California Architecture Licensure is preferred, but not required
  • Experience and knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs
  • A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines and incorporate them to support the design direction of the project.
  • Experience with Revit, Sketch Up. Photoshop, and MS Office
  • Experience with all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with other team members and work independently
  • An excellent work ethic and ability to anticipate needs, initiate decisions, and delegate work as needed
