We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Interior Designer with 5+ years previous experience in the Interior Design/ Architecture industry. This position will be instrumental in executing projects and report to team leadership (Design Director and Senior Project Manager).

The candidate should have strong design experience on real hospitality (particularly on hotel projects) and/or high-end residential projects (not schoolwork) where he/she was involved in all phases of the interior design process and can demonstrate creative involvement. The ideal candidate would be a strong, well-rounded and passionate designer committed to excellence with an aligned sensibility who is organized and able to vision (??) and manage all aspects of an interior design project. This 30 person studio has international expertise in high-end retail, hospitality, and residential projects - experience in the hospitality industry is required.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing of furnishings, fabrics and finishes

Space-planning

Custom furniture design and development

Generate, develop and execute design concepts

Create finish & material palettes

Ability to detail furniture and millwork

Work with Junior/ Intermediate Designers to design and prepare client presentations

Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules

Manage project timeline and expectations

Manage multiple projects from beginning to end

Act as liaison with client and lead design team

Experience with FF&E specifications and shop drawings is required

 

Qualifications:

Professional Degree (Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design)

Minimum of 5 years’ high-end interior design experience

Be able to showcase finished work

Space planning

CAD proficiency (VectorWorks a plus), Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office required.

Proficiency with and 3D Max/V-Ray, Photoshop and Sketch-up desired.

Construction Administration experience desired.

Spexx experience is a plus 

LEED accreditation is a plus but not required

Talented, self-motivated designer with significant technical ability

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and lead and work well in a team

Highly developed communication skills, specifically with senior management, clients, and consultants

Highly organized with acute attention to detail
