We are looking for an advanced intern architect or recently licensed architect who seeks an unusual opportunity. We are a 5-person firm in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, with a disciplined approach to design and a very wide array of project types in architecture and interior architecture. Our design approach is focused less on stylistic dogma and more on strong planning principles, integration of natural light and landscape and meticulous detailing. Our office engages in a variety of architectural and interiors projects, from single-family to public libraries to larger, urban-scaled housing and office buildings.  We have completed numerous high-end private homes, a few public libraries and custom commercial and institutional interiors throughout Northern California, as well as in New York and Wyoming. Our work has been published in Library Journal, Architectural Digest, California Homes, Sunset Magazine, and the local newspapers.

The successful candidate will be a well-educated and self-motivated architect who enjoys doing interior architecture and is comfortable in a small-firm environment. You are well organized, have good work habits and computer skills, have worked for at least 4 years since receiving your professional degree. Skill in Revit is required, as is an excellent command of the English language.  Skill in Vectorworks, AutoCAD are a plus.

The Job: In our small office each individual has a variety of responsibilities and opportunities: Specifically, we are collaborating with an internationally known firm on a project in San Francisco, and you will be working in both offices--being part of a large team working on a prominent building, as well as being part of the more flexible culture of a small firm. On other projects you will work closely with the Principal to provide design and presentation support in the early stages of a project and will organize and coordinate the construction documents under direction of the Project Manager in some cases and in other cases you will also have opportunities to personally manage selected projects.

Minimum requirements:  Masters degree,  Proficiency in Revit, 5 years US experience, Legal residency in the US--KPa+d will not sponsor candidate for visa.

Full-time position.  Start date by July 1st, latest.

Salary and benefits are competitive.
