One of New York most established and best known architectural practices is looking for an Academic Campus Master Planner.

The Academic Campus Planner will need to lead day-to-day client and stakeholder engagement and lead associated planning documentation and feasibility design for higher education facilities consistent with the firm’s commitment to design and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Principal-in-Charge for the project and will be an integral part of the academic campus planning team, guiding the planning during the course of the project execution
  • Academic strategic planning, programming, and feasibility planning coordination
  • Project documentation from strategy, to site planning, and SD phases
  • Managing engagement processes, including facilitating client user group meetings and conducting workshops of varying nature and size
  • Being current with academic pedagogies, master planning, design and related architectural expertise
  • Provide solid planning consistent with the firm’s commitment to thought leadership, progressive design, quality and schedules

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture required, AICP (or AICP – track) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years with academic architectural planning in the United States required.
  • Strong written, graphic, and verbal communications skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ADT, and Revit
  • Team collaboration being able to both input planning in REVIT and provide clear direction for junior staff
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Understanding of the general design and construction process for institutional and/or academic buildings in the United States
  • Understanding of FICM space standards is desirable
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the courses of employment

Salary:  $75K - $85K
