Brand Bureau is seeking a Senior Brand Strategist with agency experience to join our Brand group. Senior Brand Strategists are responsible for leading and developing branded visions and experiences for our clients based on their creative and business objectives. Senior Brand Strategists will work within the Brand team towards building the definition and delivery of our visions from conceptualization through delivery. While brand focused, the role heavily relies on cross-disciplinary expertise in working with brand strategy, hospitality operations and design.

You have a strong point-of-view on brand and design, are able to synthesize information and communicate it compellingly to your teams and clients with zero ego. You are an outstanding talent, passionate conceptual thinker, inspire creativity and have the work experience to demonstrate those traits. You have an entrepreneurial drive, take initiative and truly view yourself as a strong leader. Lastly, you MUST love hospitality and have experience in hospitality design.

SPECIFICS OF THE ROLE
The Senior Brand Strategist position is twofold - brand strategy and account/project management. The position blends experience, intuition, and curiosity and channels those traits into smart thinking for our clients on research, insights, brand positioning, programming, strategic recommendations, trend identification, project goals, naming, and brand development. On the account side, Senior Brand Strategists are the client-facing contact of a project, most critical in a project’s initial phases. The role acts as the fulcrum between the client and our creative teams, guiding workflows, coordinating and often
leading presentations.

  • Lead assigned team in developing project concepts, conceiving of and shaping strategic concepts, ensuring quality of work delivered, and managing project constraints/client expectations.
  • Liaise between Creative Director / Director of Strategy, strategy team, and graphics during brand development process.
  • Organize and run brainstorm sessions to help inspire the Brand Bureau creative process.
  • Act as a consultant and resource to outside teams within the company wherever strategy, naming or messaging are at play.
  • Oversee and manage projects from Immersion phase through the end of any Brand Deliverables. Serve as the client’s eyes and ears, monitoring creative development to ensure work adheres to the proposed strategy and the client’s objectives.
  • Guide the Naming Process in any Brand Bureau Naming Scope, whether this means overseeing the phase in projects lead by yourself, or acting as a “filter” or advisor for other project teams working through the process.
  • Create & deliver presentations based on Brand Bureau standards.
  • Brevity in business writing and brilliance in creative writing
  • Ability to mentally set aside 15% of your day for something out of left field

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of the Arts in Branding, Brand Strategy or equivalent.
  • 5-8 years professional design agency and/or brand strategy experience.
  • 5+ years developing branding packages in hospitality.
  • MUST have client-facing agency background
  • Superb information design abilities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented.
  • Work with Brand Director to develop timelines and project documents as necessary.
  • Proactively seek out industry news, updates, and learnings to inform work.
  • Support new business development via pitches and outward facing materials.
  • Adobe Creative suite required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
