Yost Grube Hall Architecture is a growing design firm seeking energetic, self-motivated, creative people looking to work in an open, team-based environment.  The Architect IV will independently evaluate, select, and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement for minor adaptations and modifications.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform architectural assignments with minimal supervision to develop project solutions through planning, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
  • Seek assistance on unusual problems with assignments reviewed for sound application of professional judgement.
  • Collaborate effectively within a project team and with consultants.
  • Recommend and select procedures.
  • May be assisted by architects and technicians.
  • May be responsible for phases of individual revenue-producing projects.
  • Work on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions through instruction from team leader.

Qualifications:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Employment will be contingent on successful completion of a comprehensive background screening and E-Verify.

 

  • A graduate of an accredited Master or Bachelor of Architecture degree program.

  • 4-8 years of experience in an architectural firm.

  • Up to 2 years as a licensed architect.

  • LEED AP beneficial.

  • AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.

  • Revit, Microsoft Office, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and SketchUp experience preferred.

  • Technical experience in development and detailing of higher education facilities and Occupancy Groups A, B, E and M.

  • Technical understanding of building systems in Type I, Type II and Type III construction.

  • Bilingual highly desired.

  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
