In search of:
Woods Bagot is expanding and seeking secure an accomplished design professional with strong technology skills; a “best athlete” candidate that is fungible and possesses a solid understanding of high level technical skill, strong leadership and extremely proficient in the use of BIM technology for the design and delivery of projects. We need someone that can work collaboratively with others regardless of geography and work very well under competing deadlines.
Position: Project Design Technology Leader
5 years minimum in design, architecture or engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use time effectively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging goals
Ability to determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
Ability to work as part of a team, and independently
Ability to work with remote teams
Strong knowledge of design technology related software applications
Extensive experience with the use of technology on large and complex projects
Knowledge of BIM practices, standards and workflows
Advanced/Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit (depending on project scale)
Knowledge of related additional design, analysis and delivery tools (eg. Rhino, Ecotect, Navisworks)
Responsible for coordinating the application of Design Technology tools and workflows in a project context.
Requires a combination of high level technical skill, leadership, and experience in the use of technology for the design and delivery of projects, appropriate to the scale of project involved.
Responsible to report problems, bugs or fixes that are required to the global Design Technology or IT Teams
Recommend design technology for nominated projects, specifically supporting BIM workflows, and to escalate to, and collaborate with the global Design Technology Team in making project related decisions.
Works under the guidance of the global Design Technology Team, and alongside project Stream Leaders, to ensure the efficient use of design technology tools and workflows, and to apply Woods Bagot standards and procedures to project delivery.
Recommend to the Project Executive resourcing and training requirements for the project team
Coordinate software training for the project team and deliver where appropriate task related training
Team leader and consistent delivery of design technology and project outcomes and maintains key relationships with members of the design, technical design and management streams at a project level.
Build solid relationships with the Global Design Technology Team to achieve optimal outcomes
