SWA Group, a global leader in Landscape Architecture, Planning, and Urban Design, is seeking a knowledgeable Construction Site Observation / Field Specialist to join the firm’s dynamic Los Angeles studio.  Applicant shall have a minimum 5-years professional experience.

The ideal Applicant should be graphically and technically proficient, possess strong interpersonal and time management skills, have past experience with construction administration, and have the ability to work independently but through the direction and guidance of a SWA Principal.

Applicant will collaborate within project design teams, with the primary responsibility of monitoring and reviewing diverse range of projects under construction.  Elevating the levels of construction quality is the primary goal, thus a broad knowledge-base in landscape architectural construction with a keen eye towards high-quality design execution and detail is essential.  Familiarity with palettes of regional plant materials is also preferred.

Travel will be required in order to field review/evaluate projects under construction.

Skills Required: AutoCAD, MS Office required.  Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino and VectorWorks is also a plus, but not mandatory.

Education:   A Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or another constructed-related discipline from an accredited school is required.  Professional licensure is a plus.
