Description

  • This position will be responsible for master planning, programming and the development of large, complex instructional lab and classroom facilities, requiring a thorough understanding of instructional lab facilities, equipment and guidelines.
  • Responsible for coordinating team members and consultants, programming projects, conducting site visits, and all necessary communications and documentation needed to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Maintain good working relationships with the client to promote future business development. Participate in client presentations and project meetings.

  • Work with marketing on lead generation and maintaining a strong network. Assist in cultivating new business opportunities.

  • Develop successful, collaborative working relationships with designers and project managers to ensure an integrated project is produced.
  • Work directly with and lead multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Stay current with design trends, code issues and planning standards and mentor and develop team members through internal presentations and other educational opportunities.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must have ten years of recent planning experience with five years experience in instructional labs within higher education facilities including master planning as well as the design of large scale, complex facilities.
  • Experience with complex, not-for-profit projects completed with multiple clients preferred. 
  • Associates degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field required; architectural degree preferred.
  • AutoCAD proficiency required.
  • Revit experience and LEED accreditation preferred.
