Our client, one of the fastest growing firms in the city with an impressive track record of successful, New York high-rise and commercial projects stretching back 20 years, is looking for a STUDIO DIRECTOR/LEAD INTERIOR DESIGNER to join its team. COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Based in New York, this fast-growing, medium-sized firm specializes in high-rise, mixed-use, and corporate structures. Due to their long-standing relationships with well-known developers, many of the city’s most prominent buildings have been designed by this impressive team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the design lead, reporting directly to the Principal-in-Charge, this position includes the development of strategies, resourcing, and project performance goals. You will contribute to and execute such goals, organizing your own efforts and the efforts of your team.

 A recognized leader with advanced knowledge of corporate and retail interiors, including high-end tech companies as well as agencies and retail environments, the ideal candidate will also demonstrate leadership in concert with other senior technical design professionals in terms of implementing standard procedures and protocols to assure continuity and consistency of project documentation across the firm.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited institution
  • 8-15 years of professional experience with an emphasis on corporate interiors work; specifically with projects ranging from 15,000-100,000 sq. ft.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to lead projects in a team environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Sketch Up are required, and Revit experience is a plus

 

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with projected annual salary of $85-$110k in addition to a complete benefits package.
