RAC Design Build is seeking a Draftsman with minimum 3 years full-time experience specific to commercial adaptive reuse, fluent in both AutoCAD and Revit for projects up to 50,000 SF. We value efficiency, effectiveness, a self-starter, and quick absorption of firm methodology.

Candidate will be responsible for delivering presentation quality design intent drawings as directed; permit ready drawing sets for submittal to the city/county agencies; and construction ready drawings that contractors can build from.

Candidate must have experience in creating professional grade drawings throughout the various design and project development phases in both AutoCAD and REVIT. 

Applicant will work in a team environment with Architects, Principals, Project Managers and Consultants in an open office space environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design, draft and detail in both AutoCAD 2D and Revit programs
  • Assemble construction documents and related documents
  • Pick up redline drawing sets
  • Coordinate drawings with MEP, Structural Engineers and other consultants
  • Complete plan check submittal and incorporate revisions
  • Work under the direction of Architects and Project Managers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited university or equivalent work/education experience
  • Minimum 3 years, post-graduation, commercial adaptive re-use experience in an office or freelance
  • Must be knowledgeable with construction detailing, execution and document standards
  • Adaptable, self motivated
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written
  • Organized, multi-tasker with ability to work in a fast paced, deadline based Studio
  • Fabrication and Construction experience a plus

Equipment & Software Experience:

  • Autodesk REVIT and BIM modeling
  • AutoCAD 2013
  • SketchUp
  • Windows and Mac proficient including Parallels
  • Adobe Suite, including In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Microsoft Office Suite
