Position description: Gould Evans is seeking an Architectural Designer to work as part of our collaborative design studios. Currently, we have more than 100 associates across our Phoenix, San Francisco, Kansas City, Lawrence, New Orleans, and Tampa studios.

Primary responsibilities of the position:

  • Assist with planning, designing, illustrating and presenting ideas and concepts for projects; collaborates with and acts as a liaison between all involved parties to understand and bring to life the vision of our clients
  • Take leadership in carrying design concepts to fruition while meeting project budget and schedules
  • Work with project teams to ensure that projects meet metrics for energy performance, financial performance, and design excellence
  • Collaborate and assist with all aspects of design and documentation process
  • Design within a team of designers. Organize and evaluate design decisions that are unique and constructible, as well as budget and schedule responsive

We’re seeking candidates with:

  • Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of graphic media including Photoshop, PowerPoint, Sketch Up, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Intellectual Curiosity
  • Positive energy and personality traits to lead design efforts with clients
  • Organization in mapping out steps for team and client decisions
  • Strong communication skills: both verbal & written skills are emphasized, with ability to direct and craft graphic presentations when needed
  • Active in community and professional organizations
  • Demonstrated experience with business development
  • Licensure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
