Gensler’s hub office in Houston is seeking a Project Architect for its Health & Wellness Studio. This position will manage, organize and coordinate the technical design project teams throughout the design process to successfully execute architectural projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project team leadership in coordinating execution of design intent into the construction documentation, specifications, and throughout construction administration.
  • Manage project timelines, schedules, resources and project budget.
  • Resolve complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to team and consultants.
  • Participate in and lead team discussions on technical and other project related issues.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of technical documents.

 

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect.
  • 10-12 years experience minimum in architectural practice.
  • LEED AP is preferred.
  • ACHA member (American College of Healthcare Architects certification).
  • Strong knowledge of TDSH process, local building codes and regulations.
  • Can support JCOAH (Joint Commission of Accreditation and Certification of Hospitals) reviews.
  • Understands the drivers of EDAC (Evidence Based Design and Construction) methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience in Revit in construction document preparation, bid review, construction administration, field observation and building evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience in core and shell design development, as well as interior renovations.
  • Experience delivering in-hospital projects as well as clinical projects off campus.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be a team player, possess a can-do attitude, be a self-starter.
  • Strong Revit experience, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, SketchUp and other 3D sketch software, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong network among consultants and contractors.
  • Experience working in Texas markets on CD and CA phases for Healthcare projects up to at least 50M.
  • Professional Degree in Architecture.
