Taubman College at the University of Michigan offers three fellowships in the areas of architectural research and design instruction. Each of the fellowships will include teaching related to the candidate's area of interest, resources for the development of work, and the opportunity to share the outcome of the fellowship with the school at the end of the year.
William Muschenheim Fellowship/Design
The Design Fellowship offers early career design instructors an opportunity to develop a body of work in the context of, or in relationship to teaching. Proposals for the design fellowship may focus on the development of a specific project, either individually or with students, or may center upon a particular set of pedagogical themes to be engaged in the studio context.
Michigan Architecture Fellows are appointed as lecturers, spend one year in residence and teach three classes in addition to pursuing their fellowship interests. Applicants should send a letter explaining their interest in the position, curriculum vitae, portfolio and the names of three references. Review of applications will begin December 1, 2009 with interviews planned for January through March 2010.
